Mount can make it to the very top of the game, says Lampard

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard thinks Mason Mount can make it to the very top of the game and said he reminds the young midfielder of it every day.
Mount played under Lampard at Derby County last season and has so far impressed in his transition from Championship to Premier League football.
There are rumours that he could be named in Gareth Southgate's England squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo, which will be announced on Thursday.
And Lampard thinks a call-up to the national side can only be a matter of time.
“I don’t want to heap expectation on him. But I will tell him that every day because I feel it, and when someone’s humble and hard-working like him, it doesn’t matter. You can tell them because it will never stop his drive or his hunger. He’s not a boy that wants the razzmatazz of it all."
“He just wants to be a top player forChelsea , then England – and I believe he can be.”
Lampard added he admired the way Mount adapted to a new role so quickly during the 3-2 weekend win over Norwich, as he was forced into a last-minute change of system due to Pedro getting injured during the warm-up.

“I said to him five minutes before he went out that you’ve got to play on the left wing today and come inside," added Lampard.
“No bother. He just took it all on board and made all the right moves. The confidence and steely nature he has helps. But he’s driven and not going to get carried away with himself. It’s the way his family have brought him up.”
