Chelsea starlet Billy Gilmour has revealed that his request to be sent out on loan this summer was rejected by manager Frank Lampard, who insisted it would be better if he stayed at Stamford Bridge instead.
Gilmour, who joined Chelsea's academy from Rangers in the summer of 2017, insists the decision to stay put turned out to be the correct decision and has since made his debut in the Premier League and Carabao Cup.
