Lampard's pre-match conference ahead of United clash

Frank Lampard addressed the media ahead of Chelsea's clash at home to Manchester United.

 Lampard on Chelsea's tough schedule

🗣"It could possibly define our season but there's a long way to go no matter what"

Frank Lampard describes Ziyech as "Fantastic Player" and said "I know a lot about him. I Know his qualities, he's a player we hope can bring creativity, It's exciting for us as a club & for the Fans"

Lampard on Ziyech: “I think he’s a fantastic player. He first came into my eye-line in their run in the Champions League last year. I thought he was one of their standout players, particularly in their games against Tottenham.

"He’s got a great left foot and plays generally off the right-hand side but can play behind the front man. Probably when you look at us this season there have been game where we may have maybe struggled to unlock the door."

"He’s certainly a player we hope can bring that bit of creativity and something different for us. He scores goals, assists. I know he's not coming now but I think it’s exciting for us as a club and the fans to know that he’ll be here next year.”

Lampard on with injury news. He says Christian Pulisic won't be fit for Monday's game, but is building up his fitness. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also not available but is getting closer to selection. The boss is hopeful Tammy Abraham will be able to play.

Lampard notes the goals we conceded on the opening day at Old Trafford were indicative of their style of play and something we should be wary of on Monday, even if he stresses this is a different game.

Lampard praises Kepa's reaction to being dropped in our last league game, at Leicester, saying he has been training hard and has displayed good character since. Lampard knows who will start in goal on Monday but won't reveal it yet!

Asked for his Valentine's Day plans, Lampard says he'll be watching Wolves v Leicester with a takeaway, and then Love Island afterwards!
