James backs speaking out on racial abuse

Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha and Sheffield United’s David McGoldrick were right to speak out on racial abuse according to Chelsea Starlet Reece James.

Both players were victims of racial abuse in last premier league matchweek with McGoldrick condemning the act via Instagram and Zaha releasing a video on Twitter.

Speaking ahead of the blues game in a match they won 1-0 on Tuesday night, Reece James offered his backing and support for the players.

“I think if you are a player that has faces racial abuse you should come out and say it,”

“As a Premier League football player, you’re in the lights a lot.

“A lot of people have a lot to say when you’re doing well and when you’re not doing so well. You should definitely come out and talk about it.”
