Aubameyang unwilling to talk about future

Arsenal’s Skipper Aubameyang was quick to steer away talks about a new contract after helping the gunners pick up their 14th FA Cup trophy.

The Gabonese scored two goals as Arsenal completed a comback to win against their london rivals.

Speaking post-match, Aubameyang was unwilling to speak about his future.

“Nothing. Today is about the trophy.”

Arteta was also asked about what he thinks Aubameyang is planning for the future.

"He knows what I think about him," "I want to build the squad around him. I think he wants to stay and it is just about getting the deal done.

"But I think these moments will help him to realise and believe that we are in the right path and he is a big part of that. He is loved by everybody at the club. Hopefully he can continue with us."

Asked if he would extend his Arsenal contract, Arteta believes he would

 "I think he will, yes."

Arsenal were in buzzing mood after winning the FA Cup and Aubameyang was asked about how it feels and about Mikel Arteta’s impact.

“We enjoyed it and we are all happy,”  “I think he deserved this win. He did a great job and we are all happy to have him on board and we all follow him.”
