Werner doubted Chelsea move

Timo Werner has admitted that he had second thoughts about joining the blues this summer after seeing the Bavarians thrash Chelsea 7-1 on aggregate.

Chelsea lost the first leg to Bayern Munich 3-0 before playing a 4-1 scoreline at the Allianz Arena in early August which created some doubts in Werner’s mind.

Fortunately, The German Striker changed his mind after seeing more improvement from the blues in terms of how they finished the season.

“I would be lying if I said it wasn't like that.

"The 3-0 home defeat of Chelsea in the first leg against Bayern hadn't exactly spoken in favour of going to London.

"I have to say that openly, because with Leipzig we always played very good and close games against Bayern."
