Arsenal paid Ozil loyalty bonuses despite his £350,000-a-week wages

The Athletic reports that Arsenal paid Mesut Ozil a loyalty bonus of £8m despite the German last playing for the club in March.

SOCCER PUNCH has learnt that the Gunners were desperate to sell the 32-year-old last transfer window which failed as he remained at the Club.

There is also performance-related bonuses in the terms of his contract but it doesn’t look likely that Arsenal would pay him those bonuses because Manager Mikel Arteta doesn’t fancy him.
