Azpilicueta intending to win place back in Chelsea team

Chelsea Captain Cesar Azpilicueta is happy to be back playing in the premier league after Chelsea’s 3-0 win against Westham United on Monday.

The Spaniard has lost his place in recent Premier league games to Reece James but has made up for it by appearing in Chelsea’s champions league games.

However, Azpilicueta was quick to point to James that he isn’t willing to give up his place in the team without a fight and hopes to impress the manager.

“It was good to be back. I’ve been playing more in the Champions League but it’s true that in the Premier League, I haven’t been involved since Old Trafford.

“It has been a while but my job is to work hard to improve every day and, whenever the manager needs me to step up, do the best job I can. To win was important and we did well.”
